Having trouble playing a game, post here

Sorry, I didn't know, what is "*". Now I know :D

(note: on Call of duty 4, which powered by same engine, I go to cd/data folder and copy all files to the hard disc, but this game I cannot do this)

Thank you for the helping and later we might solve this "OS checker block" problem

Please try out some of the former Wrapper versions:
also added a Wrapper v1.10x (alpha)

Oh and one more thing. I would need one Dependency Walker log profile for Setup.exe without any wrappers but this time don't abort the setup when it comes to the not supported OS message. When this alert comes, just save the DWI and upload it.

It is unsuccesfull.

I could miss "threre is not enought free space" message, but it says, that installation failed. (same error with KDW)

(It seems, activision know about this wrappers :) )

Hey, thanks. I would like to take a look at the "_ISUSER_0X0409.DLL", can you upload it?

Of course.

This file I had to unpack the ISSETUP.dll with uniextract.

Alright, thanks. Nothing suspicious, so if you still have some motivation we could try out one more thing:

KnownDlls KDW Wrapper Installer (kdllinst.exe) - XP Version Emulation
1) download and extract the KDW archive to some folder.
2) copy the game or application with the setup executable to some TEMP folder (this will be the source folder)
3) open Kernel2k.tbl with notepad editor and add *XPS2-005D3315 after the entry
*2KS4-007729 ;shlwapi.dll type3-A.Save file.Copy Kernel2k.tbl to the TEMP source folder.
4) start kdllinst.exe.
5) select (1.) "EZ KD Registry" and reboot windows (only needed at the first time):
6) choose (2.) "Ez Install" source directory which contains the setup executable you want to install. Then we need to select (3.) Kernel32 (KDW Kernel) so press the "long" line.Finaly we press (4.) Ez Install and the KDW files get installed into the source directory.
7) close KnownDlls Wrapper Installer.
8) install the application or game.

PS: If this emulation address doesn't work, you could also try the Fake Version lie for XP SP3, just add *XPS3-00fe instead of *XPS2-005D3315

Good luck!

You can investigate on your own what the installer is doing when you use the HookProcessCreation tool:
Info: Error 193: %1 is not a valid Win32 application

- it will ask you when a new file is created in the TEMP folders so you have control over the installation procedure and you will now exactly which files are created and addressed.
- also, with this tool you can figure out the the __IRAOFF command line argument to run the MSI without the setup.exe.

Usually this tool is useful for PE Header changes during the installation routine but it's worth to try it out in this case.

I'm pretty sure that there is some child setup.exe installed somewhere! With the HookProcessCreation tool it's easy to find and you can abort, change the exe and resume the installation with this tool.

Can you copy the game to C:/Temp/ and once more try to install it with the OCW wrapper and ini? You've been installing it from e:\blur\. Maybe there's a bug in gathering the correct parition size. Thanks for all the testing!

LoadLibraryA("e:\blur\ISSetup.dll") returned NULL. Error: Invalid access to memory location (998). :? interesting...
Can you upload ISSetup.dll, too?

1. download and initialize the HookProcessCreation tool.
2. run setup.exe
3. when it asks you that it wants to create the libraries in "documents and settings" folder, browse there and copy the OCW Wrapper Kernel with the Wrapper.ini to that folder. Now click ok and allow the libraries to be created and addressed. When you have passed the OS check unload the HookProcessCreation library, otherwise you will have to go through a lot of clicking

Should work.

I can browse nothing. Setup.exe initialize, and stop with OS error, it asks nothing.
