Hi,

i tried to fix the Thunderbird 31.2.0 portable version but it will not work with the wrapper packs and manual methods. You probably need to install the extended Kernel from BlackWingCat to get it working. I'm sorry.

That's the main lack. You need to go through this thread and figure out what is required:
@msfn.org: KernelEx for Windows 2000

Be warned, if one required official security patch of Win2k is missing, this can lead to BSoD after installing the Extended Kernel!So make sure you gather enough information and install everything carefully. Maybe ask what patches and files are needed from a to z. BlackWingCat is still active in that forum so you can ask him directly.

Hey,

maybe this tutorial helps to also get Thundebird 31.2.0 installed on Windows 2000.
How to install Google Chrome and the latest Firefox on Windows 2000
Keep in mind, for the Extended Kernel support you are better off posting @msfn.org Windows 2000 thread.

I installed Thunderbird onto a winxp machine, copied across the files to my win2k machine, did the PE Tools trick and now when I run thunderbird.exe I am getting this error:
thunderbird.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point SetDllDirectoryW could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll.

Hi,

the Kernel API SetDllDirectoryW is covered by both Wrappers.
